About: AEDA was formed in 2006 by Asian small business owners, community leaders and activists in response to the building of the Green Line light rail transit. Since their founding, they have grown to respond to the changing needs of the community, developing and offering programs to further advance their mission while sustaining direct engagement of the lower income constituencies they represent. Their programs serve both Saint Paul and Minneapolis. They work in collaboration with partners to achieve our objectives.

Small Business Development Business Technical Assistance

AEDA provides counseling and training to new and existing business owners to start and improve their businesses. AEDA train in several Asian languages so that businesses can learn in the language they are most comfortable with.

Storefront Improvement

AEDA provides grants and loans for storefront improvement to properties and businesses in the Little Mekong District.

Lending

AEDA provides small loans to qualified small businesses that can’t get a loan anywhere else.

Financial Education & Credit Building

Many people face difficult and often desperate financial circumstances due to having no credit history. AEDA provides tools and training to help build credit and learn how to manage money, build credit matters and why money matters.
